An engineer by training, Sanem Altayli has been painting since 2010 and her works have been exhibited in Washington DC, New York and Baku. Her paintings on the daily life in New York were displayed on the LinkNYC screens all over the city in 2022 for three weeks. She remains to be the only Turkish artist chosen for this project. Trying to capture spontaneous occurrences in everyday life, Altayli creates paintings that invite the viewer to remember moments that everyone witnessed, but overlooked in a hasty setting.
